Religious Education

Religious Education (RE) plays a vital role in helping children explore and understand the diverse beliefs, values, and traditions that shape our world. At our school, we aim to foster a sense of curiosity, respect, and open-mindedness through a curriculum that encourages children to reflect on their own views while learning about others.

Through engaging lessons, discussions, and activities, we provide opportunities for children to develop critical thinking, empathy, and an understanding of the importance of diversity and inclusion. Our approach is non-denominational and designed to celebrate the rich tapestry of faiths and worldviews that make up our community.

RE is an important part of our commitment to preparing children to become respectful, thoughtful, and informed members of society.

As part of our commitment to providing a broad and balanced curriculum, Religious Education (RE) is taught to all children in line with statutory requirements. However, we respect that parents have the legal right to withdraw their child from all or part of RE teaching if they wish.

If you are considering this, we encourage you to contact the school to discuss your concerns or preferences. This allows us to understand your perspective and explore how we can best support your child. Please note that arrangements will be made to ensure your child is safely supervised during the withdrawn period.

We value open communication with our parents and carers and aim to work together to provide the best possible learning environment for every child.
